In this study, the effects of concrete strength, concrete cover and fire duration on the axial force carrying capacity of columns and natural fire resistances of columns are examined. Especially, what kind of changes may occur in the mechanical properties of reinforcement steels in reinforced concrete structural elements under the high temperature effects of fires and the degree of protective effect of the concrete cover. In addition, the fire performance of existing and old reinforced concrete buildings was discussed with the separation of low strength concrete and high strength concrete in the content of the study.
